Selena Gomez on Finding Her Own Way

The former star of the Disney series “Wizards of Waverly Place” American singer and actress Selena Gomez says he doesn’t compare herself to other female singers her age like Demi Lovato or Arianna Grande, although she appreciates their music.

According to the young star, working with Disney or Nickolodeon puts one in the place, but then it’s up to him or her to find own way and decide what to do next. Everyone has own vision of their music and the way they want it to be perceived. Selena Gomez is just trying ot be who she is, and put up music which she thinks would be great and appropriate for her.

The star advises to follow one’s path and not be distracted by anyone else’s, even though she herself enjoys the music of other performers. Her insipations like Britney Spears and Taylor Swift have their influence, but she has her own ‘stamp’ on her music, which makes it her own.

Gomez also names singers Bruno Mars and Rihanna as her major musical influence and idols, and says she loves the dubstep music by American electronic musician and singer-songwriter Skrillex.
